It Could Still Be The Most Wonderful Time of the Year (with my cookie recipe!)

Life

It’s no secret to all my friends and family that Christmas is my favorite time of the year.  I cannot wait until the week leading up to Thanksgiving, as that is when I pull out all the Christmas decorations and transform my house into a winter wonderland.  I try to add one or two items to my collections every year.  My favorite collection is my Nativity Scenes, after all that is the reason why we celebrate Christmas.

The thing I love doing most during the Christmas season is baking.  It brings back such great childhood memories of baking with my Mom, then continuing the baking tradition with my own daughter.  It is such a great feeling when my daughter comes to visit for Christmas and the first thing she wants to do is make a batch of her Grandmother’s sugar cookies.

I also love to share all of my baked goods with my friends and co-workers.  I make various types of fudge, bars, and cookies.  It is very satisfying taking home those empty containers that were full of all the deliciousness that I made with love for all to enjoy.

I would have to say over the years the majority of people say they like my fudge the best. I think that it’s because fudge takes a lot of patience to make so it is not something everyone makes.  My favorite is my Sugar Cookies since this is the recipe my Mom used and I love decorating them.  The best part of decorating is that you can do it with other friends and family. This way it can get to be kind of a competition on whose decorating or backed goods are the best.

Since I can’t actually share the cookies I make I would like to share the recipe so maybe you can start a new tradition with your family.  Believe me, this recipe will not disappoint.  Enjoy!!
