On October 23rd, about 400 conversations were held all over Miami-Dade County. They were conversations about sea-level rise, density issues, racism, transportation, crime, immigration, and dozens more. The conversations were designed to bring regular people from diverse backgrounds together to talk about the issues they felt were most pressing in their parts of our community. The conversations were then captured and will be distilled. Ultimately the content of those conversations will help our client, The Miami Foundation identify initiatives to fund and help them to drive policy in the years ahead.
We, at The M Network were not only honored to help The Miami Foundation, organize and publicize this countywide event, we were excited to be part of it.
The conversation we hosted focused on the marketing, media, and entertainment industries. We explored the role we play in shaping the perceptions of and within our community through the work we do for our clients.
To help create dialogue, we cut a podcast on the issue. You can listen to that here.
Coming out of our conversations, we committed to continuing the dialogue by cutting other episodes based on the topics that were generated around our table.
You can hear our first “Post-My Miami Story” podcast here.
Stay tuned for more.
