“People Pleasers” Beware of TV Interviews: My Take on Betsy DeVos’ 60 Minute Interview
Many have written about the “flubbed” Betsy DeVos interview on 60 Minutes. No doubt there are quite a few takeaways from that 12 minutes of airtime. I don’t want to repeat what’s been said, but hope to further the argument. My take on why Ms. DeVos did a less than stellar interview is that at heart, she is a people pleaser.

When my son was making a ridiculously long list of guests he wanted to have come to his birthday party, I said to him, “Remember for every guest that brings you a gift, you will need to write a thank you note.” I think I also caught an eye-roll in there, as well, but I was serious.
